Gas-shielded Tool Joint Build Up Wire

A proprietary, gas shielded, metal cored alloy wire specifically developed for rebuilding of drill pipe tool-joints. The alloy has been designed to build up the worn out tool joint surface. The material property remains similar to typical tool joint material: AISI 4137, heated and quenched to a hardness of about 30 – 36 HRC.

Application
A tool joint might need to be built up to original surface dimension due to missing material, to extensive tong marks, removed old hardbanding or just build up under further hardbanding going over OTW 43ST. This alloy has been tested & approved according to industry standards and customer approvals
